“DeeJha” Rain Conversation

(setting: on the street, under the rain, in a town called “DeeJha.” a parade for a doctor goes on under the rain and love notices his friend.)

Love :what has gone wrong, beauty, why do you stop
and why is your face of dismay?
tell me, beauty, why does your brow drop
and why you ignore my parade?
Beauty:I have fallen for someone, but he does not know
for I tell him not but I know that it shows
I’m unsure of his feeling, and for that I weep
and I hide each night and cry myself to sleep
Love :Has he told you of his feelings, his love for Beauty?
Beauty:Oh no, he has not, but he shows he cares for me
and he showed me one time that he wanted to kiss me
and that we both enjoyed each other’s company
Love :now why Don’t you tell him, that you started to fall?
Beauty:he warned me not to. that could be the end of it all
that’s why I keep it inside me, just ignore it and cry.
Love :but to ignore such feeling is to deny the sky.
why not just tell him, call him and try
Beauty:what if he does not feel it, the love I impose?
Love :well then, dear Beauty, it’s his fucking loss.
fore I tell you truth, and no inch is a lie,
you were meant to be happy, not meant to cry

Beauty:I can’t!
Love :why not?! Just tell him!
Beauty:I’d rather cry night after night,than to not have him by my side!
Love :Why!? Why would you rather be weeping than your heart abide?!
(silence. Beauty weeps, near Love’s parade)
Beauty:I miss him.
Love :then tell him.
Beauty:this I can not do.
Love :Are you both scared of commitment?
from what I’ve seen he loves you too.
Beauty:He loves another girl.
Love :then what is he doing with you?
Beauty:for three years he has been courting her
Love :three years and still no “I do.”
Beauty:she is what he”s reaching for.
Love :but he’s fallen in love with you
tell me, do you like, want and love him?
Beauty:YES! I DO! IT IS TRUE!
but if he does not share these feelings
what the fuck do I do?
(Love takes her by her arm, looks deep in her eyes and smiles)
Love :then you play Love’s game.
