Why must you be unfaithful,when her heart is true to you
you seek all days for pasture as she toils so hard for you
she who has given her all to you – you tend to ignore
she who has given her all to you – still you wanted more
she who shared with you all you have been through – joy and pain
she swallowed all her woe and left it be washed by the rain
she wanted you to be all that you could be and be great
that every time you went your way she always stood and wait
she has always been what you called home – shelter from the storms
she sticks with you through thick and thin – loves you above all norms
she has made your world her all but still you wanted more
she devoted her all to you but her you still ignore
she tried to do all things for you – beyond all she could do
so why are you unfaithful, when her heart is true to you?
He has built his world around you – are you not contented
He wears your ring and you wear his – where do you lay your head
You wander far from what he is - is his all not enough
you ran unto another's arms. Why – has your love dried up
he worships you with all he's got – you wanted something more
he gave you all he had to give – you knock on others' door
he built his world around you – you chose to give him woe
he stood faithful in all these years – still you want to go
he loves you so with all he is – loves you for what you are
he gives you all he's got to give yet still you wander far
will his love ever be enough for your fidelity
will he ever be enough for you to love him truly
he did all he could do for you – faithful – forever true
now why are you unfaithful when his heart is true to you?
