dream land

dream land

on this bed I lay, and drift away, as I rest my head
unto a place of radiant grace with no worries and no dread
of life outside, merciless tides nor what has been heard or said
where songs are sung, battles are won and colors green, blue and red
there I await, from heaven’s gate, my loving earth bound angel
she takes my hand, and then we dance to love that we both revel
I hold her so and not let go, and wish ‘twould last forever
two hearts that sings, the joy she brings and love that ends for never
she holds me tight with all her might, that I say to myself in muter
It feels so great, to be in this state this couldn’t get any better
’till the end of day which we danced away that sent our hearts a flutter
she lies on my arm and tries to keep warm and she kisses me deep and tender
and all through the night, under the moonlight, she and I made love
and in the morning I wake to toiling for tonight I return to the land I speak of
